Soprano Dru Rutledge is a Portland, Oregon based singer who is in demand across the United States for her "rich-voiced tone" and "vocal fireworks". Her 2015/16 season began with her return to Miami for Pulse: Late Night at the New World Symphony under conductor Christian Reif and alongside special guest DJ Le Spam and the Spam Allstars. Rutledge returns this season to the Broadway Rose Theatre Company for A Taffeta Christmas in December, followed by her return to the Portland Opera for Mozart's The Magic Flute in May. On the concert stage she can be seen this July in the Portland Gay Men's Chorus' presentation of The Divas, and with the Portland Columbia Symphony for The Maestro Show. Rutledge finishes her season this summer with the Clackamas Repertory Theatre as Marian Paroo inThe Music Man.
Rutledge's 2014/2015 season began with her return to the Portland Gay Men's Chorus as The Mother/Mrs. Rosenblat on Andrew Lippa's I am Harvey Milk, followed by her return to Portland Opera as guest soloist for Portland Opera Presents: The Great American Songbook - Unsung Women of the Great American Songbook. Dru also made her debut with Portland's Hungry Opera Machine for Four, Salt, and Moonbeams: A Gypsy Jazz Opera, and finished the season as Laurie in Broadway Rose Theatre Company's production ofOklahoma! Additional recent performances include with Mock's Crest in Portland as Celia in Iolanthe and to the Clackamas Repertory Theater as Julie in Carousel. A sought-after soloist, she has performed with the New World Symphony in Miami forPulse: White Out the New World Symphony, the Oregon Symphony for the Oregon Premiere of Distant Worlds, and as soloist for BodyVox's Body Opera Files.
